We use a sign-in flow called OAuth2. It's a protocol that allows third parties to request access to parts of your account. If such a third party wants to access, you may either allow or deny the request.
In some situations, you may want to revoke your decision and deny a previously allowed request. Here's how:
- Sign in to the Gentlent Console at console.gentlent.com.
- Click on your profile (at the top-right corner) and select "Manage Authorizations".
- Now you have the option to remove access from specific services called "clients" (not to be confused with the user, which is you). Alternatively, if you can't manage to find the third-party in the list, you can always hit the "Revoke All Authorizations" button at the bottom.
Please note: If you suspect a third-party of abusing access to your account, you may contact us for assistance.
Bonus: What is the difference between services and non-verified services?
Verified services with a blue badge behind their name are usually owned by Gentlent or a trusted partner of ours. They have the ability to request you to get access to more sensitive account data.
Non-verified services on the other hand are services owned by other users that are not affiliated with Gentlent.
